What is Upcharge?

UpCharge is a power bank sharing service that provides convenient charging solutions throughout Europe based on renting powerbanks from our stations. Our rental stations are located in popular venues such as bars, nightclubs, hotels, festivals, and museums, allowing users to rent a power bank at one location and return it at another.

What is the role of a partnership manager at UpCharge?

As a Partnership Manager, you will be responsible for expanding our network by contacting venue owners to introduce and set up our power bank rental stations. Your role involves negotiating agreements, managing installations, training venue staff, and maintaining strong relationships with venue partners.

What are the key responsibilities of this role?

  • Identify & Engage Partners: Find and connect with potential venue partners.

  • Negotiate Agreements: Explain the benefits of partnering with UpCharge and secure contracts.

  • Manage Installations: Oversee the setup and installation of our stations at partner venues.

  • Train Venue Staff: Ensure venue staff are trained in operating and maintaining the stations.

  • Monitor & Maintain: Check station performance regularly and address any issues.

  • Build Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with venue owners.

What is the ideal candidate for this role?

  • Languages: Native Dutch 🇳🇱 speaker with good English 🇬🇧 proficiency.

  • Experience: Background in sales, business development, or related fields.

  • Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.

  • Motivation: Self-driven, results-oriented, and eager to learn.

  • Local Insight: Familiarity with Amsterdam's hospitality and events scene is advantageous.

We believe in a honest compensation for work. We also believe speed is the key to great success. That is why we combine both sides of the coin.

  • A working hour includes any activity directly related to securing and maintaining partnerships with venues. This involves researching potential venue partners and conducting outreach through visiting, emails or phone calls to schedule meetings. Time spent in meetings and negotiations with venue owners and managers is also included, as well as follow-up communications to finalize agreements. Additionally, hours are counted for coordinating the installation and setup of power bank stations at venues, including on-site visits. Representatives also log hours while conducting regular check-ins with partners, and updating CRM with necessary details. We expect a 20 hour minimum per week, though the actual working hours are up to you.

    • €20-€50 per venue based on venue size and location.

    • Factors include the venue's capacity, type (e.g., hotel, nightclub), and strategic importance.

    • 10 Venues Secured: €100 additional bonus.

    • 15 Venues Secured: €200 additional bonus.

    • 20+ Venues Secured: €300 additional bonus and more.

    • High Traffic Venues: Additional €50 per venue that exceeds specific visitor thresholds.

    • Long-term Contracts: Additional €30 for securing contracts longer than 12 months.

    • Top Performer Award: Bonus for the representative with the highest number of quality partnerships each quarter. Sum will be defined based on the team size.

    • Innovative Partnership Award: €500 bonus for creative strategies leading to partnerships in new or unique venues (e.g., major festivals, tech conferences).
